How to eat a Peacock egg

If you find one that looks like this one....DONT eat it!  Someone took a lot of time to paint this.

However, YES, they are quite edible and much like a chicken egg, except quite a bit larger.

How do you know if you can eat one?  Easy, just like chicken eggs, you place those you have found in a bucket of water.

IF:
1.  they float -discard them, they are rotten
2.  they sink, but stand on end - put it back in the nest to hatch
3.  they sink, but lay on their side - heat up your frying pan!

Science fact for the Day:  an unfertilized egg is the largest single cell in existence.
